After more than a decade each working in the luxury magazine sector, including over 10 years between us at Condé Nast Brides, and stints at Condé Nast Traveller and Cereal Magazine respectively, we finally took the leap to set up Little L. 

The idea first came to us whilst working at Condé Nast Brides, surrounded by couture and made-to-measure bridal fashion. Despite having an intricate knowledge of the bridal industry, when the time came for both of us to get married (coincidentally, on the same day in 2019 – although not to each other!), we felt there was a little something missing from the traditional bridal sphere. 

Where could I buy a chic – yet not-too-traditional – bridal outfit for my registry office wedding, or a standout piece to change into to hit the dancefloor on my big day? How could I find fashion-forward outfits that my bridesmaids would love, and would want to wear again? Where could I source those extra special honeymoon pieces to last me a lifetime of holidays? And, as a wedding guest, where could I discover new, niche and independent brands without being overwhelmed by choice?

After many hours spent trawling numerous websites, we felt there was a clear need to have everything in one place. We both longed for a retail platform of expertly edited pieces that put wedding fashion at the forefront. We feel that now, more than ever, in the age of COVID19 weddings, many brides are opting for more contemporary, fashion-forward options – and we wanted to create a beautiful platform to bring these looks together. And so Little L was born!

Little L was created with the savvy and style-conscious woman in mind, for those wanting a modern twist on timeless styles. We aim to provide both brides-to-be and wedding-goers with a carefully curated edit of pieces that transcend occasions and will be loved forever: the idea is that all pieces are adaptable and re-wearable, as an alternative to ‘one-wear only’ wedding dresses. We want to bring unique, independent and international designers, who create beautiful and universal pieces, to the contemporary woman.

We aim to exceed customer expectations every step of the way with our insider knowledge and style advice. We are always on hand to offer guidance and support to make every shopping experience personal.
